Envizion Is Releasing An Android Based Gaming Console

Envizion has announced an open Android-based gaming console that’s due for launch this Autumn. The console will have a 1.2GHz Samsung chip, 512MB of DDR2 memory and will support a modified version of Android 2.2 Froyo and will retail for $249.00.

Envizion will also bundle in an HDMI cable in a feat of generosity, an Evo game controller and an Evo TV remote control. Envizion said it should retail in the US first for $249 (£152) and will be rolled out over Europe in the following weeks.

Envizion is also going to offer comprehensive social notworking features for the console. This is an ineresting twist as some of the best home theaters are integrating smart phones, tablets, and games like that on the Android operating systems. This will be interesting as you will be able to download a game on your phone and play it on you HDTV.
